Q2. How can I create a special title for every page?

Answer. You can create a special title for every one of your Web pages. Just follow the given process:

  • Login to your site.
  • Select the "manage" site link to view the site hierarchy.
  • For each page that you want a specific title, select the edit icon.
  • Type in the specific title in the "Page Title" field.
  • Save your work.

Special Tip - You might find it easier to give each page its own title while you create the page in the initial stages.

Q3. My Web page is coming up blank! What is wrong? How can I rectify the wrong alterations made?

Answer. Don't worry, addCMS will suppress all the PHP errors and warnings by default. In case, PHP encounters a fatal error for some reason then your site might not render at all. It might even render partially with a mostly blank page.

In such a scenario just edit the pathos_version.php file (for 96.3) or exponent_version.php (for > 96.3) file in the root of your addCMS installation and set the development constant to 1. This way, addCMS would be able to display all errors and warnings for you. After you figure out your problem, set the variable back to 0.

Q5. How can I install a new theme?

Answer. Installing a new theme is probably the simplest trick in our addCMS content management system. It is really easy.

  • 1) Download the theme from wherever it is available as a packaged .zip file.
  • 2) On the Administration menu for addCMS installation, go to Manage themes.
  • 3) Click on Upload New Themes at the top of the page.
  • 4) Upload the new theme.

If in case you already have a theme that has a similar name as the one you are attempting to install now, then addCMS will attempt to overwrite the old theme. However, the Content Management System would ask for a confirmation before it does so.

Nevertheless, if you would like to install a new theme as an alternate, then simply go to TBD for a description of the necessary changes that are to be made to repackage the theme with a new name.

  • Click the icon for the module, usually on the upper right of the module area.
  • Notice the name of the view being displayed and the "Preview Content" area to the right.
